This page will be reworked to be a non-modal dialog instead, so that users don't lose progress on their activity when they change settings. Ultimately, the topnav bar will not contain any links that "leave" the current page, to save users from losing progress due to misclicks. All navigation links will be buried in the hamburger menu as a strategy to avoid lost information.
